a poem.

As we drove along one day,
And gazed into the Sun,
You quoted Shakespeare, in my ear,
And changed the station, some,

And when we got there, to the park,
We laid down in the grass,
I rubbed your shoulders, soothed your back,
And you dozed off to sleep.

I watched you breathing to the beat
Of birds across the way,
But I wish I would have asked you if --
